The Cap City Comedy Club has been holding an annual Comedy Fest each year during the first Saturday in March. Anyone can participate in this day long comedy fest that features yet undiscovered talent. This is open to the public, although there is an admission charge.
During Memorial Day weekend, you might want to head over to the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum so that you can learn about the Alamo Battle and also watch battle re-enactments. The Battle of the Alamo was where legendary frontiersman, Davy Crockett, was killed. The Alamo Memorial Days also include food and Texas Music.
Independence Day is fun in Austin, Texas, and you can enjoy the American Independence Day with the Tex Mex Festival and parade. This festival combines both Texan and Mexican cultures in food, music and even parade floats and makes it one big celebration, right in the heart of Austin.
